Healing Two-Gether
Danielle Cartalemi and Nicole Cartalemi are Certified Holistic
Health Counselors who
maintain a private
practice in Westchester County, New York. Their training includes an eclectic
mix of different dietary theories-from old to new; east to
west; ancient traditions of macrobiotics, ayurveda, and traditional
Chinese medicine to the modern Zone, blood type, and Atkins
diets-and complementary therapies such as physiology, philosophy,
cooking, intuitive healing, meditation, counseling, and teaching.
The sisters’ interest in nutritional medicine was sparked
by the medical research positions they held after receiving their
Bachelors degrees in Biology with pre-medical concentrations
from the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts.
Danielle conducted Pediatric research at New York Presbyterian
Hospital-Weill Medical College. Nicole coordinated and conducted
cancer research at Mt. Sinai School of Medicine, where she studied
the effects that lifestyle, behavior, and stress have on an individual’s
health.

Danielle and Nicole created Discovering
Wellness, their healing
practice dedicated to the well-being of mind, body, and spirit,
after studying at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition and
becoming Certified Holistic Health Counselors through the American
Association
of Drugless Practitioners. Currently, they are members of the
Health Counselors Alliance and are
pursuing their Master's degrees in Holistic Nutrition.
Danielle and Nicole are dedicated to working with their clients
to eliminate physical, emotional, and mental dis-ease. They
believe that there is no specific diet that is right for everyone.
They avoid rules, willpower, shame, and guilt. In a highly
supportive, professional, and loving way they empower their
clients to make real lifestyle change and improve their health.
